Cookie policy
Last updated: May 8, 2026.
This Cookie Policy describes the cookies and similar technologies Scrubswire uses on scrubswire.com. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Cookies are used by almost every modern site to remember settings, keep you signed in, and measure how the site is used.
Cookies Scrubswire uses
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
id | First-party, strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in to your Scrubswire account between page loads. | 30 days from last activity |
That is the complete list. Scrubswire does not currently set any other first-party cookies.
The session cookie is HttpOnly (not readable by JavaScript), SameSite=Lax, and is marked Secure on the production site (transmitted only over HTTPS).
What we don’t use
Scrubswire does not currently:
- Set any third-party cookies.
- Run Google Analytics, Meta pixels, TikTok pixels, or any similar third-party tracker.
- Use cookies for advertising, retargeting, or cross-site profiling.
- Sell or share data collected via cookies.
If we change this practice in the future, we will update this policy, post a banner at the top of the site, and offer a clear opt-out at first visit.
Local storage and similar technologies
The site does not use localStorage or IndexedDB to track you. The browser may cache static files (CSS, fonts, images) for performance; this caching is controlled by your browser, not by us, and contains no personal data.
Your choices
- In your browser. All major browsers let you block, delete, or be notified about cookies. Disabling the
idcookie will prevent you from signing in to a Scrubswire account, but the rest of the public site (reading articles) will work normally. - Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control. Because we do not track you across sites or sell personal information, there is currently nothing to opt out of when these signals are received. We honor them by not changing our (already minimal) collection.
