The Health Resources and Services Administration awarded $42 million in grants Wednesday to extend telehealth services — primarily psychiatry, addiction medicine, and obstetric care — into 47 county jail systems across 11 states.
The grant is the largest single federal investment in correctional-health telehealth to date.
