Senate HELP committee advances bipartisan bill on agency-fee disclosure

The bill would require staffing agencies to disclose their fee structure on every contract over $10,000.

The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions committee advanced a bipartisan bill Tuesday that would require travel-nursing staffing agencies to disclose their fee structure on every hospital contract worth more than $10,000 — a measure backers say would expose the markup that has driven rural hospital staffing budgets to historic highs.

The bill cleared committee 17–4 and now heads to the full Senate.
