Engagement metrics from the LMS were brutal. The redesign was less brutal than expected.
Inova Health System replaced its 90-minute new-graduate-nurse orientation video — assigned at hire and never updated since 2019 — with a 14-minute version this spring after engagement metrics from the LMS revealed only 11% of trainees actually finished the original.
New-grad turnover at six months has not measurably changed. Trainees, however, report finishing the new video in larger numbers.
